How to Use the Different Ratios:

· Use the 6:1 ration to prepare your fleece. The controlled intake and carding will produce a smooth even batt ready for blending, spinning or felting.

· Use the 4:1 ratio to blend rovings, colors and different fiber types consistently into an open and airy batt.

New 2 Speed Model

This new, improved model has two ratios for even more flexibility and control when carding and blending.

The new carder retains the adjustable drum clearance, allowing you to set the teeth distance for total control of your fiber. All nylon bearings ensure it is light and easy to turn. The card cloth has wire teeth with a special protective coating and a flexible rubber backing for long life. The carder is strong and robust with the body made from Silver Beech hardwood.

This carder has rubber feet to prevent it from slipping. Card 2 oz batt quickly and efficiently.

Comes assembled, lacquered and ready to use.

Awl/doffer, 2 clamps and carding instruction are included. Batt size 22” x 9”.

Weighs only 11 lbs.

Choose either Fine 72 point for alpaca, fine wool and exotics or Coarse 36 point for stronger wools or fiber with more vegetable matter to remove.

Add on Packer Brush

Packing brush for both fine and coarse carders. The brush helps to pack the carded fibers onto the teeth of the large drum allowing more fibers to be carded resulting in a thicker batt.

The brush is especially helpful for fine low crimp fibers such as mohair, angora and alpaca.

No holes to drill. Simply attach the two brackets under the top bolts, fit the packer in place and start carding!
